International payments for African merchants

Sell to customers anywhere in the world, accept their preferred payment methods, and receive proceeds in your local bank account — without becoming a bank or money transmitter yourself.

Why international payments are hard for African merchants

Global payment processors often restrict onboarding for African businesses, require entities in foreign countries, or settle only in foreign currencies that are then expensive to move home.

PayKato exists to bridge that gap: an African-friendly onboarding flow, partner-led processing, and local payouts handled through licensed banking partners.

How settlement works

Customers pay in their currency on a partner-hosted checkout. The processor settles to a partner banking account, FX is applied where needed, and your share — net of platform, processor, FX, and payout fees — is sent to your verified local bank account.

Final pricing is confirmed during onboarding based on country, merchant category, and partner approval.

Designed around compliance

Every merchant goes through verification (KYC/KYB). Transactions are monitored for fraud and AML signals. Chargebacks, refunds, and reserves are handled through partner workflows under their licences. See the Trust & Security page for the controls we run.
