Local NGN payouts in Nigeria

PayKato settles your merchant proceeds to your Nigerian bank account through licensed payout partners. Here's how the payout flow works, end to end.

How a payout actually moves

When your customer pays, the licensed processor captures the funds. PayKato records the transaction, applies fees, and schedules a payout on the next cycle. The licensed payout partner then transfers NGN to your registered Nigerian bank account.

  • Gross amount captured by the processor
  • Processor fee, PayKato fee, and FX (if applicable) shown
  • Net NGN amount sent by the payout partner
  • Confirmation visible in your dashboard once settled

Payout timing

Default payout cadence and timing are confirmed during onboarding and depend on your merchant category, partner approval, and transaction profile. Reserves or rolling holds may apply to certain categories — these are standard in regulated payment processing and are shown clearly on your settlements screen.

PayKato is not a bank

PayKato does not hold customer funds, does not provide deposit accounts, and does not perform card acquiring or money transmission itself. Settlement is performed by licensed payment and banking partners. PayKato provides the software, dashboard, and merchant experience layer.

Frequently asked

Which Nigerian banks can I settle into?
All major Nigerian commercial banks are supported through our licensed payout partners.
When will I receive my first payout?
Your first payout schedule is confirmed after onboarding. Initial payouts may take longer than steady-state cycles while compliance and partner setup finalise.
What happens if a payout fails?
Failed payouts are flagged in your dashboard with the partner's reason. The most common causes are incorrect bank details or KYB mismatches — both are fixable from your account.
Which processors and banks does PayKato use?
PayKato is built to integrate with licensed payment processors and banking partners. Specific processors and availability are confirmed during merchant onboarding based on country, merchant category, and partner approval.
How much does PayKato cost?
PayKato's platform fee starts from 1.5% per successful transaction, with no monthly or setup fees. Processor, FX, payout, bank, and country-specific fees may apply on top, charged by the relevant partner. See the Pricing page for a sample breakdown.
