Why PayKato is not a bank

Knowing the difference matters. This page explains what PayKato is, what it isn't, and how money actually moves on the platform.

What PayKato is

PayKato is a merchant software and payment orchestration platform operated by Omega Allied Services LTD. We build the dashboard, payment links, invoices, merchant verification, and partner routing layer that African merchants use to accept payments and request payouts.

What PayKato is not

PayKato does not take deposits, hold customer funds, issue wallets, or independently provide FX, money transmission, or card acquiring services. That regulated work is performed by licensed payment processors and banking partners that PayKato integrates with.

How money actually moves

A customer pays on a partner-hosted checkout. The licensed processor receives the funds. Settlement, FX, and payouts happen between partner accounts under their licences. Your verified local bank account receives the resulting payout, net of fees.
